Another hugely successful Olympic Week 21st Sep 2012

Yarnfield Primary School’s recent Creative Olympic Week was truly thrilling, exciting and inspirational.

There were four days of competitive challenges, each designed to enhance confidence and promote team spirit. The children needed no encouragement in the middle of Olympic fever, they were just happy to take part win or lose. With the additional focus on “creativity” children were invited to work on a wall hanging for the school based on their thoughts around Olympic Dreams.

The week concluded with a performance by the children featuring DJ and Magic, plus an awards ceremony. Medals and prizes were given out, including one for the most inspirational child. Parents were not forgotten in the fun-filled final day, they delighted everyone with their very own ’It’s a knockout’.

The wall hanging has now been presented to the school, and we are sure that the children will enjoy looking at it hanging in the main hall in pride of place where it can remind them every day of the wonderful Yarnfield Olympic week with a difference.
